Connect Juke Audio to the network
Tabita Castro

Plug the Juke into your network switch with a hardwired connection (optimal method) or merge onto the network wirelessly. This network must be the same one that is used by the devices you use to play your audio.

Ethernet Setup

The Juke control screen can be accessed by any phone, tablet, or computer that is connected to the same WiFi network as the Juke. The preferred way to get Juke on your network is to connect it to your network switch with an Ethernet cable (which is included with Juke). Insert the Ethernet cable into the receptacle with the tab on the bottom. If Ethernet isn’t available, skip to the next section and learn how to use Wi-Fi instead.

Wi-Fi Setup

The Juke control screen can be accessed by any phone, tablet, or computer that is connected to the same WiFi network as the Juke. You’ll need to ensure proximity of Juke to your access point (4,5m on the Juke 6/8 and 15m on the Juke+). When using Juke’s internal Wi-Fi, before it’s configured, Juke will appear as an access point called JUKEAUDIO. Go to your devices Wi-Fi setup and select JUKEAUDIO. For example, on an iPhone, this will look like this.

Note that your phone may warn your that the access point has no internet connection. This is normal and you can safely ignore it as you continue with the device setup.

Option 1: Using Juke.local or Using IP address

Enter “juke.local” as a web address in your browser to bring up the page.

If that doesn’t work, you can instead try typing http://juke.local. (Make sure you are not typing it into your search bar)

or

Enter your Juke’s IP address or URL into your web browser’s address bar.

This IP can be found by looking it up on your router or using this device lookup tool. If local addresses don’t work, Juke devices often use 10.0.0.5 as a default IP on some older Android devices or similar configurations.

💡 Note: not all devices support ‘.local’ addresses. Namely, older version of Android (11 or less), or Windows (10 or less).

Log in with thesese credentials:

username: admin

password: Admin

Navigate to the NETWORK SETUP screen. You should now see the following:

Choose your network wireless SSID from the list and enter its password credentials.

💡 Note: if Juke does not show your Wi-Fi network in the list, it probably means that it is out of range.

Enter the password for your Wi-Fi network, and click Submit. Then, reconnect your device to your Wi-Fi network. (This will likely happen automatically because Juke stops acting as an access point once it’s on your network.) Wait a minute, hit refresh in your browser, and you’re done!

Option 2: Using the App

Download our mobile app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Make sure that you are on the same network as your Juke when you are using the app. Follow the app instructions.
