Where troubleshooting meets hands-on care
Genesis Home Technology Architects, a leader in home technology solutions, is looking for a Home Tech Support to join our team in Castelldefels, Barcelona. If you have a passion for home technology and domotics, real attention to detail, and enjoy working in a collaborative and dynamic environment, we want to meet you.
This is a full-time, on-site role. You'll be responsible for providing technical support in both Spanish and English — troubleshooting, running trainings, and handling day-to-day customer service.
What you'll work with
Network
- Set up a full system — router, switches, access points, PDU.
- Configure VLAN, VPN, and STP.
- Work with wireless environments: bands, channels, bandwidth, and Wi-Fi 7.
- Troubleshoot network problems using tools like Wireshark and Metageek.
Basic Home Control & Domotics
- Understand centralised lighting systems.
- Know the difference between a relay and a dry contact input.
- Know the difference between a light switch and a bus keypad.
- Basic KNX notions and basic electricity knowledge.
Audio & Video
- Set up a video projector and troubleshoot HDMI issues.
- Install multiroom audio systems.
- Connect speakers in a home cinema.
- Set up a TV.
Basic Functions
- Process RMAs and reply to them on the digital platform.
- Organise shipping and pick-up of equipment together with Operations.
- Receive and test returned equipment.
- Contact manufacturers in English to find solutions.
- Provide technical support by chat, phone, and remote desktop — and travel on-site when a problem can't be solved remotely.
Other Functions
- Deliver training, both online and in person at the training centre.
- Build and document racks.
- Test product features.
