Retrofit of an existing System
Connect your existing speaker wiring into Juke
Typically the order is red, black or red, black, white, green.
Note: Do not do any work on wires directly above your Juke, especially if placed on it’s side. Small pieces of copper may enter the unit and damage internal circuitry. Also, if you have outdoor speakers in an area susceptible to lightning strikes, we recommend putting surge protectors over those wires as a precaution.
Below you will find pictures and instructions on how to wire up your Juke system. You may follow these steps or watch this tutorial
1. Tools required (not included): wire strippers, scissors and small blade screwdriver

2. Cut a small amount of the insulation covering the speaker wires

3. Peel back the insulation to expose 5 or 7 cm of wire

4. Peal it like a banana

5. Cut off the excess insulation

6. Strip about 7 mm of insulation from each wire

7. Fan out the wire strands

8. Twist the wire strands and make sure none are sticking out

9. Insert each wire in the terminal block and tighten the screw. Make sure the wire is securely clamped along the top of the rectangular slot. The wires should not come loose from a firm tug.

10. Repeat the steps for the remaining wires

11. Repeat the steps for the remaining cables

12. Plug each connector firmly into the Juke until it locks in place. There should not be any exposed copper showing from the connector.

13. Repeat these steps for all of the zones

One Juke amplifier can accommodate speakers from up to 8 individual rooms/zones. If using outdoor speakers in a large space, we recommend the Juke+ model to ensure high-enough volume output.
